name: blunt author: Paul Thomson/dfi size: 4096 bytes needs: 1mb VRAM, 4mb RAM, and a StrongARM would be nice descr.: 4k demo This demo requires a 3mb Next slot in the task manager to run and ExtBas to assemble. The bulk of this demo was written from scratch on the 9 & 10th June 2001. Unfortunately, at 3am on 11th June, with a day in the office to look forward to, it wasn't ready. So thanks to Mr Hill for extending the CC3 deadline to accommodate my laziness. I suppose it's inspired by the 64k GCube demo, which makes great use of the extra 60k ;) The full screen blur is thanks to an article by Statix. The full blur is unfortunately not fast enough on our puny machines, but for those with super-over-clocked StrongARMs a flag may be set in the source to re-enable it - it looks very nice, but very slow on my machine. Also, for framerate freaks, there is a boolean at the top of the source to disable the blur entirely to get the demo running at 20fps. Compressed with the excellent CodePressor - many thanks to it's authors Eli-Jean Leyssens and Tony Haines. Hellos to Mr Hill, ARMOric, Baah, Gizmo, David Gamble, Tom, and Nathan Paul Thomson paul@elixir-studios.co.uk
